Why use an exam countdown?

Seeing exactly how much time is left keeps you honest. Most last-minute cramming starts with "I still have time". An exam countdown shows you the days and hours left before your board exam, JEE or semester paper, which makes it much easier to plan your study.

Features

  • Live countdown: ticks every second, with no need to refresh the page.
  • Saved in your browser: exams are stored in your browser's localStorage, so they stay put when you close the tab or refresh.
  • Several exams: track up to 10 at once, with the next one first. Handy during board exams or semester finals with several papers.
  • Date and time: enter the reporting time as well as the date for an exact countdown.

Because days feel longer than they are. '7 days' sounds like plenty until you count: 7 days × 8 waking study hours = 56 hours. Take out meals, travel and chores and you're left with about 40–45 useful hours. Seeing '43 hours remaining' gets you moving. Thinking in hours also makes planning concrete: 8 hours today, 6 tomorrow.

Yes. They're saved in your browser's localStorage, which survives refreshes and closing the browser. They stay until you clear your browser data or remove them yourself. In private or incognito mode, they won't be kept between sessions.

Revise lightly and sleep. Go over key formulas and concepts, but don't start anything new. Get your admit card, ID and stationery ready, plan when you'll leave, and sleep 7–8 hours. Don't pull an all-nighter: lack of sleep hurts memory, reasoning and concentration, and a rested brain does better than a tired one that crammed.

Prepare well, because knowing your material is what builds real confidence. Beyond that, try slow breathing (the 4-7-8 method: breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, breathe out for 8), get some exercise the day before, picture the exam going well, and don't compare your preparation with classmates. In the exam hall, read through all the questions first and do the easy ones before the hard ones.
