These styles are look-alike Unicode symbols, not a font. Screen readers may read them out symbol by symbol or skip them, and search engines don't treat them as normal words, so keep your name, key words and hashtags in plain text. Letters a style has no symbol for (accents, Hindi and other scripts, some digits) are left as they are.

  1. Type or paste your text in Type your text. Until you type, the styles show a sample line.
  2. Scroll the list: bold, italic, script, double-struck, monospace, small caps, circled, bubble, squared, wide, strikethrough, underline, upside down and more update as you type.
  3. Tap Copy next to the style you like. A style marked “left as is” has no symbol for some of your letters or digits.
  4. Paste it into your Instagram bio, WhatsApp status, YouTube title or anywhere else that accepts text.

Fancy text you can copy and paste anywhere

Instagram bios, WhatsApp statuses and YouTube titles don't let you pick a font. This fancy text generator gets around that by swapping each letter for a look-alike Unicode symbol: 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑐, 𝓈𝒸𝓇𝒾𝓅𝓉, 𝕕𝕠𝕦𝕓𝕝𝕖-𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕦𝕔𝕜, ⓒⓘⓡⓒⓛⓔⓓ and more. Because the result is text and not an image, it pastes into almost any app, and the person reading it sees the same style on their phone.

Where the styles come from

Unicode, the standard every phone and computer uses for text, includes several complete alphabets that were added for mathematics. A maths paper needs a bold “x” that means something different from a plain “x”, so Unicode has separate characters for bold, italic, script, double-struck, sans-serif and monospace letters. Other styles reuse different blocks: circled letters from the “Enclosed Alphanumerics” set, wide letters from the full-width forms used alongside Chinese and Japanese text, and small capitals from the phonetic alphabet.

CircledⒹⓘⓦⓐⓛⓘ ②⓪②⑥Yes
WideDiwali 2026Yes
Upside downᴉlɐʍᴉꓷYes

A few letters were already in Unicode before the maths alphabets were added, so they sit elsewhere. Italic “h” is the Planck constant sign ℎ, and script “B”, “E”, “H” and others come from the Letterlike Symbols block. The tool fills those gaps for you, so every letter in a style is present. Where a style has no form at all, such as italic digits or small-cap “x”, the character is left unchanged and the style shows how many were left as is.

Things to know before you use it

  • Screen readers: people who use a screen reader may hear each symbol named one by one (“mathematical bold capital D…”) or nothing at all. Keep important information, such as your name, phone number or a call to action, in plain text.
  • Search: search engines and in-app search don't treat 𝐃𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐢 as “Diwali”. A styled hashtag won't link to the normal hashtag, and a styled name in your bio won't help people find you.
  • Missing symbols: on older phones a few characters, especially upside-down letters and squared letters, may show as empty boxes.
  • Other scripts: only the English letters A to Z and digits are styled. Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil and other Indian scripts, accented letters and emoji are left as they are.
  • Strikethrough and underline work differently: they add a combining line after each character, so the text keeps its normal letters. Some apps draw the line unevenly.

Ideas that work well

A bold or script name at the top of an Instagram bio, a small-caps tagline under it, a strikethrough price for a sale post (“₹999” crossed out before “₹499”), circled numbers for steps in a WhatsApp message, or a double-struck word in a YouTube title to catch the eye. Use one style per line at most; a whole paragraph of fancy text is hard to read for everyone.

Type your text here, tap Copy next to the style you like and paste it into your bio. The styles are Unicode characters, not a font, so they show up the same way for everyone who views your profile.

Yes. It pastes into chats, statuses and your About line. WhatsApp also has its own bold (*text*), italic (_text_) and strikethrough (~text~) formatting, which is better for accessibility in normal messages.

The phone or computer viewing the text doesn't have a font with that symbol. It happens most with upside-down and squared letters on older devices. Bold, italic and script work almost everywhere.

No. Unicode only has these styled forms for the English letters A to Z (and digits for some styles). Text in Hindi and other scripts is left unchanged.

It can be. Search engines don't read 𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐝 letters as normal words, and screen readers may spell out each symbol or skip it. Keep names, keywords and hashtags in plain text and use styled text only for decoration.
