Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
The Short Version
- We do not ask for or collect personal information. There are no accounts.
- Every calculation runs in your browser. The numbers you type are never sent to us.
- A few lookup tools ask another service for live data (exchange rates, fund NAVs, DNS answers). They are listed below, with what they send. See the list
- Files you open in our PDF and image tools are processed on your device and never uploaded.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are used. We don't show ads.
Information We Do Not Collect
DailyTools.in is designed to be private by default. We do not ask for, store, or sell:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers or other contact details
- Payment or financial information
- The values you enter into any calculator, or the contents of files you use with our tools
Analytics
On dailytools.in we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage: which pages are visited, which tools are used, roughly where visitors come from, and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes this data under Google's privacy policy. When you use a tool we record only that it was used (for example "EMI calculator used"), never the values you entered. You can opt out with your browser's privacy settings, a content blocker, or Google's opt-out add-on. Google's privacy policy · opt-out add-on
Storage on Your Device
Some features save information in your own browser so it's there next time, for example the last JSON you formatted, your exam countdowns, the tools you used recently, your typing test best score and today's Pomodoro count. A few tools can also remember things only if you tick the box to allow it: your business details in the invoice, quotation and salary slip tools, and your signatures in the PDF editor. Each of those tools has a button to forget them. This data stays on your device; we can't see it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
So that tools you've opened before keep working without an internet connection, your browser may store copies of our pages (a "service worker" cache). These are copies of public pages, not personal data.
Tools That Talk to Another Service
Most tools never make a network request. The ones below need live data that we don't have, so they ask a public service directly from your browser. That service sees the request (and, like any website you visit, your IP address) but we don't see anything. Each tool says so on its page.
- On this day (home page): sends today's month and day to Wikipedia.
- Citation Generator (DOI and ISBN autofill): sends the DOI or ISBN you look up to CrossRef and Open Library.
- Mutual Fund NAV and Returns: sends the scheme name you search for to mfapi.in (AMFI data).
- Currency Converter: sends the two currencies and the date range to Frankfurter (European Central Bank rates).
- Password Leak Checker: sends a five-character fragment of the password's hash (never the password itself) to Have I Been Pwned.
- DNS Lookup: sends the domain name and record type to Cloudflare DNS over HTTPS (Google Public DNS as a fallback).
- What Is My IP: sends a request from your connection (that is how it knows your IP) to ipwho.is.
- IFSC Code Finder: sends the IFSC code you look up to Razorpay IFSC.
- Internet Speed Test: sends test data up and down (about 100 MB) to Cloudflare speed test.
Links You Share
Calculators keep the values you enter in the page address (for example ?amount=2500000&rate=8.5) so you can bookmark or share a result. If you share such a link, the person you send it to can see those values. Don't share links containing information you want to keep private.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel may keep standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to operate and protect the service. We don't use these logs to identify anyone.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change.
