Terms of use

These terms apply to everything on DailyTools.in ("the site"): the calculators, converters, file tools, document generators and articles. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it. We have tried to keep them short and in plain language.

1. The tools are free and provided as they are

You can use the tools for personal, educational and business purposes at no cost and without an account. We work to keep them accurate and available, but we don't promise that any tool is error-free, complete, up to date or available at all times, or that it suits a particular purpose. The site is provided "as is" and "as available".

2. Results are estimates, not advice

Calculator results are estimates based on the inputs you give and the rules described on each page. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, medical or other professional advice, and using the site doesn't make us your adviser.

• Interest rates, tax slabs, government scheme rules, GST rates and other figures change, sometimes every quarter. We update them when we can, but a page may be out of date or simply wrong.
• Banks, the post office, employers and government departments may calculate things differently (for example rounding, dates or compounding), so their figures can differ from ours.
• Before you invest, borrow, file a return, sign an agreement or make a health decision, check the figures with the institution concerned or a qualified professional (such as a chartered accountant, a SEBI registered adviser, a lawyer or a doctor).

3. Documents you create are your responsibility

Some tools make documents: invoices, quotations, delivery challans, rent receipts, salary slips, letters and edited or signed PDFs. You are responsible for what they say and for how you use them, including:

• checking every detail, name, number and amount before you use, sign, send or file a document;
• following the rules that apply to you, such as GST invoicing rules, income tax rules, stamp duty and labour laws;
• remembering that a signature image added in the PDF editor is not a Digital Signature Certificate or an eSign under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and may not be accepted where those are required.

You must not use the site to make false, forged or misleading documents, to sign on behalf of someone without their permission, or for any other unlawful purpose.

4. Your files and data

The tools run in your browser. Files you open and details you type are processed on your device and are not sent to us, so we can't see them, keep them or recover them. Keep a copy of your original files, and check every file a tool produces before you rely on it. Some tools can remember details in your browser if you choose (for example your business details or signatures); you can remove them in the tool or by clearing your browser's site data. Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.

5. Format checkers don't verify anything

The PAN, GSTIN, IFSC, Aadhaar, vehicle number and PIN code tools only check whether a number is in the right format. They don't confirm that it exists or who it belongs to. Use the official government services for verification, and only enter another person's details when you have a lawful reason to do so.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, DailyTools.in and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from relying on it. That includes financial loss, tax, interest or penalties, rejected applications or forms, lost or damaged files, and indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

7. Fair use of the site

Please don't misuse the site: don't try to break it, overload it, copy it at scale with automated tools, or use it to harm others. Links to other websites (such as government portals) are there for your convenience; we don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.

8. Content and licences

The site's text, design and code belong to DailyTools.in, except third-party open-source software and fonts, which are used under their own licences (for example the SIL Open Font License for the fonts in generated PDFs). Please don't republish our articles or tool pages without permission. What you create with the tools (your invoices, letters, edited PDFs and so on) is yours.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
